Andy Guthrie - Choir Leader

Andy founded the The Workplace Choir Company Ltd in 2013. The company provides high quality choir packages to companies and organisations in the UK.

Clients include Silicon Valley Bank UK, Kantar (London, Warsaw and Munich), TUI UK & Eire, RSM Accountants Leeds, the UNISON union, the London Taxi company and others.

Craig Lees, President of the British Voice Association and Declan Davies took over the company in 2021, and Andy has now retired from Directorship.

Andy has been a speaker at the Association of British Choral Conductors Conference, and was a speaker at the Good Day at Work Conversation in 2018.

He firmly believes everyone can learn to sing with others - and should!

He has led dozens of groups to successful performances using his  infectious love for group singing, and his expertise and experience at getting the best from amateurs.

Andy was head chorister at Peterborough Cathedral, and later a choral scholar in Warwick University's Chamber Choir.

While studying for his composition MA, he began working for the national choir company Singlive, and stayed with them for 7 years as a conductor and arranger before starting the Workplace Choir Company.

He has had conductor training with Sing for Pleasure.
